Ok, here's my most frequently asked question: "Why Sithspit?"
Good question.
It's like this. In Star Wars, all of the books
and movies are PG rated. There aren't very many curses, and the few
that are used are very mild. Many authors, (Mike Stackpole,
Aaron Allston, and Timothy
Zahn, to name a few) create some of their own, giving the book an alien, more
"Star Wars" feel. Words like "stang" and "hutt drool" and "Sithspawn"
come to mind. Well, there is a book by Aaron Allston called "Wraith
Squadron", which is the fifth book in the Del Rey Star Wars X-Wing series
of books. On page 248 of that book, one of the characters, Kell Tainer,
surprises a certain Wes Janson in a passageway to ask him a question.
Janson is so startled, he says, "Sithspit! Tainer, you almost gave me
a heart attack! Where did you come from?"
I laughed.
I laughed long and hard. SOMEthing about the word "Sithspit"
was just FUNNY to me...so I adopted it. I asked Aaron Allston if I could
use it and received permission. It became my online nom de plume, my
alias. It's my email. It's my username for many things.
Now, last of all, it's now my website.
So, there you have it. My name is a mild imaginative expletive from
Star Wars...and you wondered why I said "Normal People
Worry Me"...
