The Garden

By Jen LeMaire

There is a place that I have seen where peaceful waters flow,

Where sparkling streams flank flowered fields,

And Joy does overflow.

By this stream, amongst the trees, in tranquil gardens green

The children play and live and learn

What life and love do mean.

Cradled there in the Savior’s arms, those precious babies go-

On angel’s wings, they fly to Him- in safety they will grow.

Our hearts cry out in our pain, our minds demanding “Why?!”

But Promise comes from Words above-

“He will wipe the tears from every eye.”

What lessons learned from children lost,

To this we must attain:

To learn the broken Father’s heart,

To share with Him, His pain.

For every child, once conceived, is His precious gift.

This world and all its influence, through His home will sift.

How many of His children, from His home will go

And not return, their choices made-

Damnation they shall know.

His heart does join us in our pain,

And He understands the cost

Of opening up our hearts to love

The children whom we’ve lost.

Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings…”

Dedicated with Love to the LeMaire children:
