Daddy's Girl

To life I hold, though despair abounds
The chill of fear, my heart surrounds
Like ache of cold and dead of night
The future harbors untold fright

Yet once again, my face I turn
Unto the grace I cannot earn
The warming Spirit, God's beautiful Light
Protects me, comforts me, empowers my fight

And so my soul braces once again
My children, my home, my life to defend
From chaos, insecurity, fear and doubt
I'll drive the unraveling influences out

With the power of Love, of God, of Light
I'll channel His Spirit to fight my Fight
His strength instead of my own I'll use
His love will never let me lose

His path, His plan- so much better than mine
His ways, not my ways, are truly divine
And through every trial, storm, and fear
His Love will always keep me near

Close to His heart, where all men belong
Safe from destruction, safe from the throng
Safe from the fire that burns through the world
Safe in His arms, Daddy's little girl.
